Community Education Programs are designed to help organizations and communities develop new and effective ways to promote student achievement and meet the needs of their youth and community. The programs are appropriate for rural and urban settings and are designed to serve students and community members after school, weekends, and summers in safe, drug free, and supervised learning environments. Our service and training package includes needs assessment, planning, curriculum, staffing, information system, resource development, public relations, evaluation, and budgeting.

Enrichment Programs: Programs listed below can be designed to stand alone, in combination, or in the Community Learning Center format:   Reading, Mathematics, Early College Aspirations, Technology Literacy, Arts Experience, Parent Involvement and Mentoring.

Community Learning Centers: These programs may be based in school, community, or church facilities. They are more comprehensive and offer:  reading and mathematics tutoring, activities to prepare students for college early, hands-on opportunities for young people to explore the teaching profession as a career, access to technology and telecommunications, involvement in the arts and music, and activities to promote parent involvement and lifelong learning that can directly and indirectly benefit their children.

Community Technology Centers: These centers are designed to provide access to technology for students and adults unable to purchase computers for use at home. For students, the centers can provide after school access to information   resources and educational software, allowing them to have access to new learning opportunities and acquire the technology and information management skills.  Furthermore, schools are increasingly requiring computer access outside of the school day. Community Technology Centers address that problem by providing access to the internet, electronic mail, and creating web sites to complete class projects. Technology centers allow parents to communicate with teachers and view online classroom  work.

Educational Resource Centers: These centers are designed promote post-secondary education enrollment by providing educational information and assistance to adults and youth.  As clearinghouses in local communities, they can  provide printed and computer-based  information on colleges, technical, and proprietary institutions; admissions and financial aid applications, offer workshops on financial aid and  career development, provide campus visitations, etc.
