ADVOCACY
Promoting change in public policy and resources that lead to greater self-determination among persons who are blind or visually impaired. 

BRAILLE INSTRUCTION
Reading and writing Braille efficiently and to use the Perkins Braillewriter and Slate Stylus effectively. 

COMPUTER INSTRUCTION
Keyboard training, typing and software that speaks, displays lessons on screen and includes drills, practice and typing games.  

INDEPENDENT LIVING
Improving daily living for each individual: bedroom safety, dressing and grooming, eating and drinking, bath an toilet aids, food preparation, kitchen navigation, writing, recreation and exercise.

JOB READINESS
Providing individuals with disabilities an opportunity to develop job-seeking and job-retention skills. Instruction includes job readiness training, interview techniques, application process, role playing and feedback.


MICRO-ENTERPRISE
Promoting e-commerce by incorporating Internet technology into  micro-enterprise development. software applications, sound business plans, etc.

ORIENTATION AND MOBILITY
Promoting safe travel and independence in all familiar and unfamiliar areas.

  • Microenterprise skills training begins with a financial literacy course designed for clients with little knowledge or exposure to the banking system, poor or unfavorable credit, and a lack of basic financial management skills.
